February 26th saw the Cake Bake-Off for Whitman’s 200th birthday cake. Bakeries from across the region competed for the commission to bake the cake for the big birthday celebration on May 31st at City Hall.
The winning bakery was The Fancy Crumb (Season One champions of the Netflix original show 'Sugar Rush') and The People’s Choice Award went to Milk + Sugar. Other competitors included DiBartolo Bakery, ImagiCakes Cake Designers, and Bredenbeck's Bakery. The judges were Nick Malgieri, Robert Bennett, Kelly Lee, and Dan Macey.
